What we grow:
About the farm:
We have been farming at this Co-operative owned farm since 1917 and grow barley, rapeseed and sugar beet, as well as the above. Almost the whole estate is drained and actually lies below sea level.

Name: Jack Parsons
About Jack: I started with The Co-operative Farms in 2009 on the Borders Estate before moving to Goole as assistant manager in 2010, then progressing to manager in 2011. Goole is a very productive estate and I enjoy the diverse role of managing a variety of crops, people, wildlife habitats, as well as the involvement with the From Farm to Fork project educating the next generation.
I am taking great pleasure in the challenge of modernising the estate and its facilities, in particular the long-term infrastructure of a new grain drier and handling system. I aim to seek out opportunities and make the most of situations as they arise. My aim is for the estate to become a larger part of the community, as it once was.
There is nothing I enjoy more than spending a Sunday afternoon driving around the farm with my wife and son, boring them to tears with my plans for the week ahead!
