Guaranteeing you fresh British and New Zealand Lamb

To ensure you have a truly regional product we have located expert farmers throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to supply our lamb.

To ensure we are able to provide our customers with the best quality lamb all year round, we replace the British lamb with New Zealand lamb during winter and early spring. As you would expect, we require our suppliers in New Zealand to rear their lambs to the same high welfare standards we require from our British farmers.

When you buy our standard fresh lamb you can be sure that the lamb is reared on open grass and only brought indoors when the weather is bad

Our Co-operative Truly Irresistible fresh lamb is produced from native breeds in the Cambrian Mountains of Mid Wales and from the Welsh hills

Whatever the season we have ensured that we stock welsh lamb from a selected group of farmers, which adopt our strict welfare standards.

We have dedicated long term relationships with over 21 carefully selected farmers, producing The Co-operative's Truly Irresistible lamb, producing The Co-operative's fresh protein with passion to the high standards you expect. We've called this relationship The Co-operative Farming Group, which is focussed on delivering quality protein you can trust and offering clear visibility of our supply chain.
