And we have a great history in leading the way with Fairtrade. From selling the UK’s first Fairtrade bananas and the world’s very first own-brand product with the FAIRTRADE Mark, through to making entire own-brand categories Fairtrade (including sugar, tea, hot chocolate, bananas, roses, winter blueberries and even cotton wool!).
We reach further still, with our own ‘beyond Fairtrade’ programme, which provides additional support to farmers, co-operatives and producer associations across Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Since 2009, more than 250,000 people have benefited from 16 projects, including the creation of tea co-ops, technical colleges and schools. We are proud to have a shop in every postal address in the UK and, through our work, we continue to make Fairtrade products accessible to everyone, by offering a good range of products at fair prices.
Through Membership campaigning and events, we are able to educate and inform communities about Fairtrade.
